How we verify

How WholesaleSG ranks suppliers and checks the facts we show, so you can trust the comparison.

How we rank

Every listing is normalised to a price per 100g (GST inclusive), so you are comparing the same thing across different pack sizes. The list is sorted by that number alone. We never take payment to change the order, and cosmetics like photos or branding never move a supplier up.

Halal: how we label and verify it

Halal status is set per listing and is never assumed from a supplier’s name or branding. We use three labels:

• Halal certified. We confirmed the supplier in the official MUIS Halal register (the HalalSG directory at halal.muis.gov.sg) and show its certificate number, or the goods carry a verifiable JAKIM or MUIS-recognised certificate. This is a checkable fact.
• Halal, supplier-declared. The supplier presents the product as halal (for example, a halal-branded store), but we could not find it in the MUIS register and it does not appear to sell pork. We treat this as a supplier claim, not a verified fact, so it is not matched by the strict Halal filter.
• Not halal-certified. The supplier sells or handles pork, or the product is otherwise not halal.

Certificates expire and renew, so we re-check periodically. For a specific order, always confirm halal status directly with the supplier.

Prices and freshness

Prices are read from each supplier’s own product page and refreshed daily. We show the date each price was last checked and label it indicative, so please confirm the final price with the supplier. A discount is shown only when the supplier’s usual price is genuinely higher than the current one.

Facts vs claims

Details we can read straight from a supplier’s listing (such as skinless, boneless, frozen, or the available cuts) are shown as facts. Claims we cannot independently verify (such as free-range, cage-free, or organic) are shown as supplier claims and kept visually distinct.
